9ball finishes 9th place in Vegas |

Giggity Giggity, from Bobby McGee's in Crest Hill was top finisher, 9th place in 9ball. Their opponent was disqualified in the following round, robbing them of the opportunity to possibly finish higher, but hopefully they'll be invited back next year to try again.
Pooled Out and the Scorpions, both from Joliet, were top finishers in 8ball, in 33rd... that's out of over 700 teams! Way to go!

As teams head out to Vegas, you can keep track of your friends' progress at www.poolplayers.com Just choose their format, 8ball, 9ball, Doubles, etc. and scroll down to IL, then find the team's city. If you don't know their team name, it'll be difficult as some teams had to change their team name, but ask me and I might know. 9ball and 8ball Doubles starts Thursday,

Summer Update & Playoff format |

Playoff Format: Divisions with 15 or more teams will advance the Top Point team directly to Citywide and bypass the playoffs. Those divisions will have two COC playoffs: 2nd vs. 5th and 3rd vs. 4th will playoff as normal; 6th vs. wildcard (unless there's a tie for 8th) and 7th vs. 8th will playoff for a second COC spot but that winner will play Friday night at COC in an extra round and will not receive awards. The Citywide winners, Challenge winners, Top Gun and Gal winners are all in the Photo Gallery, if you haven't checked yet.
Next Monday is July 5th and some of you may have that as a holiday, but if you're unable to play Monday night, call me to arrange to reschedule it with the opponent. (playing someone twice is also and option). Several Monday schedules are quite short so don't delay in playing the make ups ASAP.

June 15th is the deadline to submit the entry into the APA's US Amatuer event. If you want more information about it, go to www.poolplayers.com
The singles qualifying window for the first period is also June 15th, but I will accept boards until Jun 20th to allow one more weekend to play them.
